The magnetic particle flaw detector is designed for non-destructive testing of metallic structures, effectively identifying surface and subsurface defects like cracks, voids, and welding defects, and includes an automatic demagnetization function, making it ideal for use in workshops and industrial facilities.

The NOVOTEST MPD-17P is specifically designed for non-destructive testing using magnetic particle inspection to detect surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. It is particularly suited for use in railcar and locomotive depots, as well as railcar and locomotive repair facilities within the railway industry. The flaw detector identifies defects such as cracks, laps, tears, hairline fractures, delamination, and welding defects in rail vehicle components. 


The primary users of this flaw detector are enterprises involved in the maintenance and repair of railway rolling stock. The NOVOTEST MPD-17P is specially designed for inspecting the head of (SA-3, SA-ZM and others) couplers, and the side frames of railcar bogies.
